Here is a aircraft storage rack that was submitted by John Heider.

These free standing racks can easily be made with inexpensive 2x4s, 1/2 ply, and 1 inch round wood dowels. Made to your height and width requirements they will hold any size aircraft. They can be made with or without storage at the bottom. These racks will allow you to store your aircraft anywhere without fixing numerous items to the walls that would require repairing of holes down the road. One inch plastic floor protectors and one inch copper pipe insulation fitted to the horizontal dowel supports will protect your aircraft fuselage and wing well. You can attach a power strip as seen in the pictures to the upright 2x4s which gives you the ability to charge your models in place.
