Secretary Report.

More updates on the web page. Need articles to place in web page, building tips, product reports etc. etc.

The club dues are due by January 31. Please send in your dues as soon as possible so I don’t have the last minute rush.

The club had a booth at the AMA Convention 2006 and we handed out the club brochures and talked to the people that stopped to check out the aircraft we had on display and to see what we offered.

Tom Bright, Rick Ogden, Harry Hill and I manned the booth and handed out candy to bring peoples attention to the club. We had a lot of people talking about coming out to check out the field and the club members so please bring your best behavior to the field. We had one person sign up at the show and a lot more that showed interest in the club, we also had several club members that renewed their dues at the show.

Harry Hill, Tom Bright, Rick Ogden and I, all think the show was a good thing for the club. We also discussed next years show being even better if we come up with a display stand to mount the aircraft onto, instead of a table, that would bring even more attention to the clubs booth so if you have any ideas bring them to the meeting or just contact any of the club officers.

Up Coming events:                          February 26. Trainer race at the club field.

Old Business.                       We have been having non members, who don't have AMA, using our field so it was decided to place cables across the runway at both taxi way entrances to the runway.

When you are done flying for the day you will need to put the cables back across the runway. We all need to do this as we don't want to loose the field because of a non member, heck even a member, crashing their plane in the park or on the street and hurting somebody.

As mentioned above the club will be at the AMA Convention 2006 with a display booth to promote the club all three days of the event. The table location will be just to the right of the entry way doors and just down the row on your left. The table number is 303. You will see this number on the dealers location map on the convention brochure. If you want to help out by answering questions and giving out the club brochure come on by during the show as we will need all the help we can get. Sorry the club only received four name tags for the event.

New Business.   Not much was discussed only the AMA Convention and what was required for the booth i.e. chairs, display aircraft, brochures and candy, this was tom's idea and it worked.

We are looking for some new flight instructors as Rick Bass won't be able to train any more because of his work schedule. So if you would like to become an instructor see any of the club officers and we can set you up. One of the perks of being the club flight instructor is that your dues are paid by the club and you receive some free fuel for your labors you only have to be willing to give up some of your own flying time to train.

New member(s).    Larry Leathers, Steven G. Hayes, let’s give them a warm welcome aboard.
